Calling all Bethel History alumni, students, and others read AC 2nd regularly!
Have you read a good (or bad) history book lately and want to share a review of it? Or have you recently watched a movie or TV show set in the past that made you want to applaud, or throw things at the screen? Have you had a memorable experience visiting a historical museum? Or a website dedicated to some historical topic? What’s your perspective on the relationship between Christian faith and practice and the study of history? On the value of the liberal arts?
Now that we’re well underway here, we’d love to bring in some guest bloggers who could write reviews or other posts (anywhere from 250-1000 words). Just e-mail Chris Gehrz at cgehrz(at)bethel.edu.
And if you’re not quite ready to write a full post, we’re also looking for:
- Alumni who would like to be interviewed about how they came to their field of work or study and how they see it connecting with their major in History (here’s an example of what it could look like)
- Students who would like to be interviewed about internship or student teaching experiences
- Suggested links to news stories or blog posts about history that we can include in our Saturday morning “Weekend Reading” posts
Those can also go to Prof. Gehrz. And, as always, we welcome your comments on any post.
Thanks for reading, and we look forward to hearing from you!
