Dr. Robert Fisch: A “Lesson of Love”

Dr. Robert O. Fisch, a Holocaust survivor who became a pediatrician and medical researcher at the University of Minnesota and an accomplished visual artist, will be sharing his story in a special event at the Cathedral of Saint Paul on Sunday, October 21, 2pm, in Hayden Hall (on the cathedral’s lower level). Entitled “Lesson of Love,” this interfaith program will feature Dr. Fisch’s prose and paintings and include music from the Cathedral Chamber Orchestra. It’s sponsored by the Cathedral Heritage Foundation, who suggest a donation of $15 (or $5 for students and seniors).

You can learn more about Dr. Fisch (who spoke to our Modern Europe course seven years ago about his experiences in the Holocaust and the 1956 Hungarian Revolution) by reading his memoir, Light from the Yellow Star, or this 2004 profile by Minnesota Public Radio.
