Students and alumni: are you interested in working in the corporate, non-profit, or public sectors?
While earlier this morning we highlighted resources for majors working in education, our most recent survey revealed that almost 30% of our graduates work in the corporate sector, and 10% each are employed in non-profits and government.
If those kinds of careers intrigue you, check out two events coming up next week:
First, representatives from Target Corporation will be on campus Monday, October 22nd, 11:00-2:00, in the Brushaber Commons. They’ll be available to talk with students interested in pursuing careers with one of Minnesota’s largest employers, and will also offer students chances to conduct a resume review and/or mock job interview on Wednesday the 24th.
Second, the 2012 Government & Nonprofit Career Fair will be held at the University of Minnesota’s Coffman Union on Friday, October 26th, 10:00-3:00. There’s no cost, but you do need to register ahead of time (by Oct. 24) with Bethel’s Office of Career Development and Calling (CC 322) in order to get a name badge that serves as your admission to the fair. Here’s the full list of employers that expect to be there on the 26th.
