If you’re thirty-five or younger, live in the greater Twin Cities metro area, and have an idea for how Christians can change the world, Colonial Church in Edina wants to hear from you. Through a new program called Innové, Colonial is seeking social entrepreneurs (who need not be Colonial members/attenders) to apply for the chance at internship opportunities, mentoring, office space, and a share of a total of $250,000 in funding.
Here’s Colonial’s vision for the kind of social entrepreneurship Innové is meant to encourage:
The energy Christians gain from their relationship to Jesus is ultimately intended for the sake of others. Applied to entrepreneurship, the purpose of work is to serve. We serve the world by creating and providing goods and services that enable people and the earth to flourish. Christian entrepreneurship seeks opportunities to help, heal, restore, redeem or bring hope.
