Election Night at Bethel

Politics junkies! You’re invited to a Bethel Election Night viewing party tomorrow (11/6), 8pm-midnight, in The Underground.

From Political Science department chair Stacey Hunter Hecht, one of the event’s hosts and organizers:

Members of student government, along with the staff in Office of Student Life, have been hard at work planning an Election Night party in the Underground.  Students will be asked to sign a civility pledge, and the returns will be watched on multiple screens with coverage from media outlets across the political spectrum in an effort to make this event a “living room-like” event for our community.

And if all that is not tempting enough, there will be food, an election prediction contest, political board games…. all of which will more than compensate for venturing out in to the November night air.  We’d love to have you join us — the event runs from 8-12; come when you can, leave when you must.

And, to whet your appetite for tomorrow, here’s the history of presidential campaign ads from Ike to Obama in one 4:25 YouTube “supercut”:
