History Department faculty and students will be featured in two upcoming talks scheduled for Thursday mornings in the Bethel University Library.
First, HIS230L World War I instructors Sam Mulberry and Chris Gehrz and students Annie Berglund and Sarah Ouverson will share memories, photos, videos, and reflections from their time in Europe this past January. (You can also see a photo album from that trip on our Facebook page.) “Over There! Reflections on Studying World War I in Europe” will take place Thursday, February 28th, 10:15-11:00am in the Library.
Then Dr. Gehrz will be back one week later (Thursday, March 7th, same time and place) to present a Not Ready for Prime Time session, “Blogging, Teaching, and Scholarship.” He’ll reflect on the experience of writing both for this blog and for his personal blog (The Pietist Schoolman), how blogging might serve as a kind of digital scholarship, and how it connects to his teaching.
