Yesterday we indexed a variety of alumni interviews we’ve published, all giving different answers to the question, “What can you do with a History major?

One more answer to the question courtesy of a former Bethel History/Social Studies Education major… You can go to graduate school in American religious history, study with the likes of Randall Balmer, write a dissertation on American Christian responses to slavery, organize a conference on religion in the U.S. Civil War, and then edit an anthology of papers from that conference that’s coming out later this year from LSU Press!Wright and Dresser, eds., Apocalypse and the Millennium in the American Civil War Era

Congratulations to Ben Wright (’05), who went on from Bethel to earn a master’s at Columbia and is now wrapping up his doctorate at Rice University.
