In 1980 Kevin Cragg joined the faculty of Bethel College. In addition to teaching ancient and medieval history, he helped to found Bethel’s distinctive Christianity and Western Culture program, added environmental history and Minnesota history to his teaching portfolio, and co-wrote what’s still one of the best social histories of Christianity (God’s Peoples, later reissued as A Global History of Christians: How Everyday Believers Experienced Their World).
As Kevin ends his three-plus decade career at what’s now Bethel University, we’d like to invite alumni, colleagues, students, friends, and family to join us in saying farewell and thank you. Two ways you can take part:
1. Join us at Bethel for an open house — Tuesday, May 14th, 4-6pm, in the Alumni Lounge (BC 4th floor). You’ll have a chance to greet Kevin and express your thanks, and we’ll have a brief program (including the film we previewed not long ago).
2. We’ll also be presenting Kevin with some gifts, including a memory book. If you’d like to share your favorite Kevin Cragg memories, stories, quotations, and photos for that book, e-mail them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than April 30th.
