Come learn about Teach for America at an information session on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 10:15-11:00 in HC 241 – Open to all majors.
Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates, graduate students, and professionals – of all academic majors and career backgrounds – who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools. Candidates are given a rigorous preservice summer training program prior to being placed as a full-time teacher in an urban or rural public school.

The History Department isn’t new to Teach For America. Annie Sjoholm (’09) spent two years teaching in the Hartford, CT school system before returning to the Twin Cities to teach social studies.
