Teach For America on Campus Next Week

For recent alumni and students who will be graduating this year, an announcement from Bethel’s Office of Career Development & Calling:

Come learn about Teach for America at an information session on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 10:15-11:00 in HC 241 – Open to all majors.

Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates, graduate students, and professionals – of all academic majors and career backgrounds – who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools.  Candidates are given a rigorous preservice summer training program prior to being placed as a full-time teacher in an urban or rural public school.

You can sign up to meet with a Teach For America representative on campus at the information session!

  • 20-30 minute individual meetings will be held from 1:00-4:00PM in CC 322

Next application deadline: Friday, September 13

The History Department isn’t new to Teach For America. Annie Sjoholm (’09) spent two years teaching in the Hartford, CT school system before returning to the Twin Cities to teach social studies.
