The Bethel Philosophy Department Blog Returns

More than four years before AC 2nd debuted, our friends one floor up in the Philosophy Department paved the way for Bethel departmental blogging. Prof. Dan Yim kicked things off with a post on how René Descartes understood the biblical claim that humans are made in the image of God.

After a few years of steady blogging, things began to slow down around 2010. The blog was on hiatus last year. But we’re happy to report that Prof. Yim and his colleague Ray VanArragon have revived the Bethel Philosophy Blog. Ray wrote about one of his favorite subjects — intellectual virtue and vice, specifically as they manifest themselves on the Internet — and today one of their department’s alumni, Scott Wheeler ’07, wrote about purgatory.
