We’re to the end of summer, with Faculty Retreat taking place Tuesday and Wednesday and our newest students showing up Thursday and Friday.

We’ve also updated our calendar for the fall. In addition to holidays and other pieces of the academic calendar, note a few special events:

  • Our own Prof. Chris Gehrz will be the convocation speaker for the first Chapel of the year (Monday, August 31st, 10am, Benson Great Hall)
  • He’ll also lead a Homecoming “class without a quiz” on the centennial commemoration of World War I (Friday, October 9th, 2pm, BC 468)
  • Then the following day, we’ll join with Political Science and Philosophy to host a departmental reunion for our faculty and alumni (Saturday, October 10th, the AC 2nd area)
